Polly Ngale is one of the most senior custodians of her country Alparra, in the heart of Utopia roughly 350kms northeast of Alice Springs. Polly is considered one of the most accomplished painters from the Utopia region and is inspired by the Anwekety (Bush Plum). Her canvases are layered with dots representing the flourishes of flowers and fruit from this spiky vine like plant which is a source of bush tucker that is only found at certain times of the year.
